ABOUT US

SICOR is a multinational company specialized in the production of cordage and netting for different sectors of activity. It was founded in 1947 in Portugal, more specifically in Cortegaça (Ovar), becoming the first mechanical factory in the Aveiro District regarding the cordage sector. It only started working in 1952 and, at that time, its products were manufactured exclusively from natural fibers.

Currently, in addition to sisal, SICOR also produces from synthetic raw materials and offers a wide range of products including ropes, horticultural and baler twines, fishing nets and technical weavings.

SICOR is a company oriented towards international markets that exports, directly or indirectly, almost all of its production and segments its commercial activity into five business areas:

• Sports and Safety Nets

Nowadays, SICOR Group has four branch offices in addition to the parent company. Two in Portugal (SICORLIS and SICORNETE), one in the United Kingdom (SICOR International) and one in Brazil (SICOR Brasil). We are increasingly committed to social responsibility and environmental sustainability policies, through strong investment in the development of environmentally friendly products that aim to reduce our ecological footprint.

With more than 75 years of experience and know-how, SICOR Group exports to more than 50 countries, with Central Europe and North America as its main markets, both very demanding and highly competitive.
